Perhaps you have become so used to feeling anxious that your physical health is suffering, you have become socially isolated, or some situations spiral into full blown panic. Anxiety can be triggered by many things, but as your worry increases, so can your inability to cope. Anxiety is actually a very normal response to many of the problems we face, however a disproportionate amount of anxiety and worry can lead to ineffective coping, and an inability to live a productive, meaningful life. Triggers for anxiety are very diverse; you may fear speaking in public or being in confined spaces, but for some it’s less obvious; a sense of overwhelming dread or constant worry. Either way, if you feel that anxiety is negatively impacting your life then you may want to connect with others with similar experiences, whilst gaining an understanding of anxiety and the ways in which you can cope better.
